This card pull was made looking for some insight into how I should frame this current phase of development (that includes creative work, Mayura stuff, etc.). A sort of way to think about what this phase serves as.

The black cat card is a variation on my “universe looking back” experience and it has always been a kind of mystery to me, but pulled along side my creativity card (or spiritual eye card, as it’s been contextualized over time), my read on these first two is that it might be helpful to imagine what is coming to fruition in this phase as a kind of looking into the universe or void and watching it take an absurdly sublime shape, like the black cat.

I pulled the third card as insight into what I may not be able to see right now. On the one hand that image has always held a bit of a Tower Card energy for me, and that may well be implied considering the times we live in and the ever-present potential of unexpected upheaval. But I also read it in this context as the necessary dismantling of a certain set of structures and norms that perhaps have become less effective for me out of pure familiarity. Things and approaches that have served their purposes well. Beautiful things that it can be a challenge to offer up into the fires of harvest.

Recently, I was reading Yogananda’s commentary on the New Testament, and within it there was an observation: First comes the flower, and then the fruit. In order for the fruit to be formed, the flower must bloom and then whither.

I suspect the “Tower” I’m looking at in this particular pull looks a little like that, appreciating the blooms of spring but accepting they have a purpose and a time.
