STUDIO
HOURS
Creative Guidance and Focused Working Sessions
Creativity is part of being human. You don’t need more discipline. You need dialogue, a process, and a map.
Studio Hours are one-on-one online working sessions designed to support creative exploration, clarity, and progress.
Sometimes that means talking through an idea that hasn’t quite taken shape yet. Sometimes it means working directly with a project, a creative question, or the beginnings of a practice. And sometimes it simply means exploring how creativity might become a more intentional part of your life.
Sessions are flexible by design. They’re not about pushing harder or forcing results.
They’re about creating the conditions where insight can move into action, where possibilities take shape and the next steps become visible.
Studio Hours provide a structured container where reflection, experimentation, and practical progress can happen side by side, so you can begin discovering what your creativity looks like in your own life.

STUDIO HOUR SESSIONS
Studio Hour sessions usually begin with one of two pathways, depending on what you’re bringing into the conversation.
-
This session is designed for people who are exploring how creativity fits into their life, or who feel the pull toward something creative but aren’t sure where to begin.
Together we talk through interests, questions, and areas of curiosity. The goal isn’t to force a direction, but to begin mapping the territory and identifying what kinds of creative work, practices, or processes might be meaningful to explore.
Many people start here when they want a clearer sense of what their creative life could look like and how to begin working with it intentionally.
-
This session is for people who are actively working on a project or piece, developing a creative practice, or navigating a specific creative challenge.
That might include clarifying the direction of a project, working through a creative block, refining an idea, or building a sustainable process for ongoing work.
Studio Hours provide a focused space to step back, look at the bigger picture, and identify practical next steps so the work can continue moving forward.
Most people begin with a single session and decide from there what would be most helpful.
Ways to Work
Studio Hours can be used in many ways depending on what you're working through. The ideas and approaches below describe common situations people bring to the studio, followed by examples of the methods we might use to explore them.
-
When you feel a strong pull toward making or creating, but aren’t sure what form it should take. In this work, we explore what’s actually calling for attention and identify directions worth pursuing.
-
When a project, idea, or creative impulse has stalled. We look at what’s creating the friction and identify practical ways to restore movement.
-
Sometimes the goal isn’t an answer but a better understanding of the question itself. These sessions help translate curiosity or uncertainty into something that can be explored through form, materials, or process.
-
For people who want creativity to be a real, ongoing part of their life. Together we develop a rhythm, structure, or approach that makes creative work sustainable.
-
When you’re already working on something specific and want insight, feedback, or technical guidance. This might involve process decisions, materials, composition, or next steps.

Where to Start
You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out.
Most people book a Studio Hour when something about their creative life feels unclear, when they have: ideas but are unsure about direction, stalled projects they want to get moving, or a general sense that creativity should be part of their life but they’re just not sure where to begin.
If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
